Interactive Planning Processes
There are many interactive approaches to planning. They can involve groups of 10 to thousands. They can start with a blank sheet, they can work with a draft, which has been developed by senior managers, and they can work with a set strategy and focus on planning the implementation of it.
The key ones within large group interventions are;
When we are asked to develop an interactive planning process with a client we;
- Work with the Senior Team to be clear about the scope of the planning work develop an idea of the issues, the purpose and outcomes and explore options. In particular we look at how participative they want the process to be. Download Building Shared Vision, (pdf file).
- Work with a cross functional/level design team to plan the detail of the process and the logistics of making it work. Download Design Teams, (pdf file)
- Do any further work necessary with the senior team to develop drafts or supporting presentations
- Facilitate the planning process
